Lloyd’s Caravans Canberra was established in 1964 by George and Mollie Lloyd to provide a range of repair and general services to caravan, camper trailer and motorhome owners. Our History

Lloyds Caravans Canberra had it's beginnings 1962 when George Lloyd placed four caravans on Northbourne Avenue, with a for sale sign.

One of George's mates approached him to sell the caravans, and when they all went in the first few days, soon after he started selling caravans from our family home in Red Hill.

George and Mollie Lloyd moved from Wagga Wagga to Canberra in the early ’60s.

George was a mechanic and taxi owner, and worked in the air force as an aircraft mechanic during World War II, he was the first to introduce 2 way radios to taxis in Wagga and Canberra.

​

The Lloyd family has a long history in Wagga, with ancestors on both sides owning a lot of farming property in Wagga and surrounds .The suburb “Lloyd” is named after the family.

​

Kerry Lloyd a fully qualified “Panel Beater”  joined the family business in 1977 and started “Lloyds Caravan Accessories” along side George and brother Bob who has since retired. 

​

Kerry Lloyd takes great pride in carrying on his father’s legacy as well as working with his three sons, Mitchell who’s an auto electrician, Matthew, a spray painter and Kyle in carpentry.

​

This is the third generation, which is just fantastic.
